Why can I not find the manager to assign them

For the drop down in the Employee Information tab to show the name of a Manager, the Manager user needs to have a Manager role/type assigned to them, and their user account must be active.

Only manager users will be available in the Manager drop down, this is also the case with the Time and Attendance Shift owners and managers.
