In HRSimplified the ability to capture the location of a user when they Check in is activated.
There are two ways to capture the location, the first being the Web App in the Browser, and the second being the HRSimplified Mobile app.
Both the Web app and the Mobile app requires the user to accept the ability to share the location with the System.
Because of new International Privacy laws like GDPR and POPI, the user must be informed that their location is being used.
On the Web app the user can expect to see the following pop up when logging into the system.
The same will happen on the Mobile app when the user performs a Check-In.
It is important to note that the User can decline the request, and this will then block the system from recording the location.
If the location is then queried it will not be populated, only the time check in will be recorded without location.
Note: if the user accepts the Location sharing, the system will remember the acceptance and not ask the user for permission again, until the browser cache is cleared or the session is closed.
