How to setup projects

With the Project management module it is possible for a Project manager role to setup projects, revisions and tasks for the Employees.

The Process starts by navigating to the Project management Menu and selecting Projects.

Note: The sequence of creating tasks must start at Project level. So a Project needs to be created with a release and then tasks need to be created in a Release.

Start by creating a Project with the top right button called Add project.

Start by creating the project as per the form below.

Once the project is created it will be visible in the Project list.

The system automatically creates one release for the project and all work will be allocated under this default release.

If there is a need for more releases inside this Project please select the Action menu on the Project in question and select View Releases.

The default release is available as can be seen on the releases screen.

If another release is required, simply click the Create button in the top right and follow the prompts.

Go back to the Project list and select the Assign Employees on the Action menu.

Note: if Employees are not assigned to the project they will not be able to book time on the project or have the tasks available on the task board.

Select the employees that need to work on the project and click save.

Now that the Project (almost like container) is setup with a Release inside, the tasks can be created.

Navigate to the Project management -> Tasks section.

Start by creating the new tasks by selecting Add Task in the top right.

Update the Add task form and submit to create the task.

Once the tasks are created the Employees who have them assigned can access them in the system to book time and add comments.
