Leave Request vs Holiday time, Time off or Annual Leave

With different terms being used in different regions it is not always possible to use the same terms to describe the same thing.


The term "Leave" that is used on HRSimplified refers to the request for time off from work.

It is a collective name that describes the act of requesting "Leave from work".


This would be a term that is used for the Employee to "take time off from work" or for "Annual time off", or "Holiday time".


The additional name classifies the type of "Leave" for Annual (Paid holiday), Sick (Off sick from work on paid sick days), and additional leave types like Special, Family and Study
